10 Years On

Today (Saturday) see's 10 years since one of Pyestock CC's greatest ever victories and one that is still looked back on with fondness even today.
Arriving at Hawley CC for the regular August fixture, no-one could have predicted the onslaught provided by openers Mike Ensor and Paul Heath who destroyed all before them, reaching tea unbeaten and setting a new club record partnership of 245 in the process.
Given the "timed" nature of the game, Pyestock had to work hard to secure 10 wickets for victory after tea and had another hero, Norrie Short to thank as he secured 5 wickets to bring Hawley to their knee's.
Pyestock secured a 101 run victory on a sunny day to wrap up a perfect day and rewrite pyestock history.
